Proceeds from this show benefit And Toto too Theatre, Denver’s only theatre company devoted entirely to new plays by women playwrights. This fundraiser will help to raise funds for And Toto too’s 13th season.

THE ARTIST

Annie Kier

Annie Kier is the designer for Wild Women Wine labels. She has lived in Colorado her entire life and went to University of Denver and graduated with a BFA in 2008. Since then she owns her own graphic designer business as well as working full time at Lucy Lu designs as a print specialist and graphic designer. In addition to creating art work, Annie also loves the outdoors, her many pets, archery, gardening, fishing, and making home-brewed beer, cider, and wine with her husband.

Ann Hunt -Owner/dancer

Ann Hunt has been teaching and choreographing for over 20 years. She holds a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah where she was the recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth R. Hayes dance scholarship. While in college, she taught creative movement for the Salt Lake City, Utah School District, as well as ballet and jazz at Elite Dance Studio.  After finishing her degree, Ann became the Artistic Director of the Juan Diego Catholic High School Dance Department in Draper, Utah, where she taught contemporary, jazz, ballet, ballroom, and choreography. She was a member of the Utah Dance Education Organization and the National Dance Education Organization. Currently Ms. Hunt teaches for Leap Dance Studio and serves on the board for the Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library at Denver University.  She is excited to share her most recent project ‘Pairings Dance Production.’ “As a dance educator and lover of wine I endeavor to create an innovative and unique experience pairing the two.”

This will be her premiere production.

Maggie Chapman

Maggie Chapman was born and raised in Denver, CO. She began her training at Hill Academy of Dance and Dramatics. Maggie attended Stephens College and earned her B.F.A. in Dance, graduating Cum Laude. Following her college training program, Maggie moved to New York City, where she danced and choreographed with such companies as The Movement Collective, Malleable Dance Theater and The A.H. Dance Company. She has also worked as a professional assistant to choreographers Tricia Brouk and Jacqueline Bird.  Maggie relocated back to her beloved home state of Colorado in 2010 and began work as a freelance dance instructor, performer and choreographer. In 2014, she was appointed as Artistic Director of Aurora Dance Arts, the dance program of the Cultural Services Division of the City of Aurora, and is now in her fifth year as Director of this program. In addition to directing the Aurora Dance Arts program, Maggie also dances professionally with Davis Contemporary Dance Company under the direction of Terrell Davis, Rodni Williams, and Aubrey Klinger-Fearns. She is currently in her fourth season with that company. Maggie has also been dancing with the Denver-based Avatar Movement Dance Company since 2010 and was appointed Co-Artistic Director of the company in 2013. In her freelance work, she has performed and choreographed for different dance and theater companies such as Inspire Creative, Ascential Dance Theatre and Not Literally Productions.

Julie Wolfrum

Julie Wolfrum, a graduate of the 2003 University of Colorado Dance Program and recipient the University Dance Scholarship has been immersed in dancing since the young age of three and teaching movement to ages 1 to 99 for over 20 years.  Through her years, she has been a guest artist at such festivals as Women on their Way (WOW), the Boulder Fringe Festival, Estes Park Dance Festival, GreenFest, Trolley Dance Tours, and many more.   Also known as an artivist, Julie uses movement as a social medium as seen through performing and choreographing with such companies as Oakland's Dancers without Borders, Art in Action, Venus Christ: The Rock Opera, and various performances at the Oberlin Dance Collective (ODC).  She is one of the original members of SoShe’s Performance Collective, which still performs, choreographs, and teaches mainly in the Bay area.  Julie is dedicated to movement for all and feels blessed that she gets the joy of teaching through Leap Dance Studio and Zumba at 24 Hour Fitness.

ANGIE MARTYN

Angie started dance training at age 5 and has been dancing, choreographing and teaching ever since. She graduated from Ohio University in 1997 with B.F.A. in Dance. She began her professional career dancing and performing at The Place in London, England with their contemporary dance company. She danced with The Place, Artmix Dance Company in Ankara, Turkey, and Detroit Dance Collective and Ballet Renaissance in Detroit, MI before moving to Denver in 2000, when she joined the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble for a season in 2001.

In 2001, Angie became the resident dance teacher and choreographer at Stanley British Primary School in Denver and has been teaching dance to K-8 students there for the last 17 years. She co-directs all of the schools productions and musicals and solo produces an original dance performance for K-2 students every year. Her passion for movement and dance has had a wonderful place to flourish and be passed on to children at SBPS. She has also taught at many dance studios around Denver including Cherry Creek Dance, Dance Legacy, and Leap Dance Studio.
